First Undercoat

At last the first undercoat has been applied.  I was getting tired of the way it looked before.  I laminated the curved "eyebrows" that go over the doors from some thin wood strips.  The undercoat is a two part epoxy paint.  The small hole in the side is for the electrical plug.

  1. Gary, You're well ahead of us in construction. We have the two side structures clad with the interior plywood at this point. You are making extensive use of glass and resin, where we will clad our plywood with aluminum.

Overall, nice job! Our basic construction techniques are similar but vastly different. How interesting!

  2. The way I'm doing it is probably not the easiest, but is the most familiar to me. Aluminum sheets would be quicker I'm sure with a lot less sanding.
