Aw, that's nice! And there is something about that yellow color that tsrikes me personally -- it resonates from my childhood fantasies, because my dad had a couple of small airplanes that were that color (Piper Cub and Aeronca Super Chief), the final one wrecked in a hurricane just before I was born, thus short-circuiting any chance my dad would fulfill his fantasy of teaching me to fly (that was the end of the era when the working-class man could easily own an airplane; behind our barn I would grow up watching the wing to the last ship slowly molder away and get covered with leaves...). But man, when I see that yellow, it says 'adventure and good times.' I suppose I ought to paint my next outrigger that color, now that I think of it.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if it's the color or the shape but no one seems to be able to walk by it without starting a conversation. It's a lot like having an outrigger canoe at the launching ramp.
